We may use pixel tags on our Site and may permit third parties to place them on our Site to monitor the effectiveness of advertising or for other legitimate purposes. A pixel tag, also known as a "web bug," is a small, graphic image on a web page, web-based document, or in an e-mail message that is designed to allow the site owner or a third party to monitor who is visiting a site. Web beacons are often invisible to the visitor because they are typically very small (only 1-by-1 pixel) and the same color as the background of the web page, document, or email message. Web beacons are represented as HTML IMG tags in the web page; visitors can click on "view profiles" of the web page to see whether the page is using a web beacon.
Web beacons collect the IP address of the computer that the web beacon is sent to, the URL of the page the web beacon comes from, and the time it was viewed. Web beacons can also be linked to personal information. For example, advertising networks use web beacons to add information to a personal profile of what sites a person is visiting and to determine what banner ads to display based on the profile. Another use of web beacons is to provide an independent accounting of how many people have visited a particular website. Web beacons are also used to gather statistics about web browser usage at different places on the Internet.
DVUSA may collect IP addresses and/or click-stream data for market research, for purposes of system administration and to report aggregate information. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you access the Internet. Our servers identify your computer by its IP address. When you request web pages from our Site, our servers log your IP address.
Click-stream data is information collected by our servers when you request pages from our Site. Click-stream data may include such information as the page served, the time, and source of the request, the browser type making the request, and the preceding page view and other such non-personal information. When analyzed, this data helps us determine how visitors arrive at our Site, what type of content is most popular, what type of visitors in the aggregate are interested in particular kinds of content, and the like.
DVUSA uses commercially reasonable efforts to store and maintain personal information to protect it from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction by any unauthorized party. We encrypt order information including credit card numbers using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to ensure that our customers' information is safe as it is sent over the Internet to our server.
We exercise reasonable care to protect your personal information. This includes storing the personal information on our servers behind a secure firewall and ensuring all transmissions to other vendors use secure encryption technology. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100 percent secure. So while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us or receive from us. This is especially true for information you transmit to us via email. We have no way of protecting that information until it reaches us. Once we receive your transmission, we maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information.
When registering for access to a secure area of our Site, we will ask you to select a username and password. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. We will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited email. Also, remember to sign out of the registered area of our Site and close your browser window when you have finished.
Internally, we will limit access to personal information to those persons who need the information to provide products and services to you or maintain or service those products or services. These persons are limited in number and are committed to our privacy and security policies. We will review our security arrangements from time to time, as we deem appropriate.
Please be aware that we provide links to third-party sites as a service to our visitors, and that we are not responsible for the content or information collection practices of those sites. Please note that these sites' privacy policies may differ from those of DVUSA. We encourage you to review and understand their privacy practices before providing them with information.
A revised online privacy statement will only apply to data collected subsequent to its effective date on this version of our Site. Any revisions will be posted at least seven days prior to its effective date.
We collect several types of information on our Site. Personal information is information that identifies an individual or is directly associated with a specific person, such as a customer's name, mailing address, telephone number, email address, credit card number or information about activities which can be directly linked to that person, such as his or her purchases ("personal information"). Aggregate information helps us understand trends and customer needs so that we can better consider new products and services, and tailor existing products and services to customer desires.

We may use non-personal and aggregate information to better design our Site and share with our marketing and advertising agencies.

1 Based on a comparison of the Automotive News classification of full-size Commercial Vans.
2 No system, regardless of how advanced, can overcome the laws of physics or correct careless driving. Please always wear your seat belt. Performance is limited by available traction, which snow, ice and other conditions can affect. Always drive carefully, consistent with conditions. Best performance in snow is obtained with winter tires.
3 CROSSWIND ASSIST:
Crosswind Assist engages automatically when sensing dangerous wind gusts at highway speeds exceeding 50 mph. Performance is limited by wind severity and available traction, which snow, ice and other conditions can affect. Always drive carefully, consistent with conditions. Feature not available on 3500 models.
5 Available for 4-cylinder only. Requires option code MH8 (fleet vehicles only).
6 Driver is responsible for monitoring fluid levels and tire pressure between service visits. See Maintenance Booklet for details.
7 Requires the use of ultra-low-sulfur diesel fuel. Freightliner Sprinters are approved to use BS biodiesel (approved diesel fuel with a maximum 5% biodiesel content) in all BlueTEC® engines. The only approved biodiesel content is one that both meets ASTM 06751 specifications and has the oxidation stability necessary to prevent deposit/corrosion-related damages to the system (min. 6h, proven by EN1 4112 method). Please see your service station for further information. If the BS biodiesel blend does not clearly indicate that it meets the above standards, please do not use it. The Freightliner Sprinter New Vehicle Limited Warranty does not cover damage caused by fuel standards not approved by Daimler Vans.
8 Fuel savings estimate of up to 18% according to FTP75 testing of engine OM651 (4-cylinder) versus OM642 (V6). Individual mileage will vary, based on factors including vehicle load, driving style, road conditions and fuel quality.
9 Braking effectiveness also depends on proper brake system maintenance, tire and road conditions.
10 Warning: the forces of a deploying air bag can cause serious or fatal injuries to a child under age 13. The safest seating position for your child is in a rear seat, secure into an appropriate, properly installed child seat, or correctly wearing a seat belt if too large for a child seat. See operator's manual for additional warnings and information on air bags, seat belts and child seats.
11 Blind Spot Assist may not be sufficient to avoid all accidents involving vehicles in your blind spot and does not estimate the speed of approaching vehicles. It should not be used as a sole substitute for driver awareness and checking of surrounding traffic conditions. Not available on Cab Chassis.
12 Lane Keeping Assist may be insufficient to alert a fatigued or distracted driver of lane drift and cannot be relied on to avoid an accident or serious injury.
13 COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST may not be sufficient to avoid an accident. It does not react to certain stationary objects, nor recognize or predict the curvature and/or lane layout of the road or every movement of vehicles ahead. It is the driver's responsibility at all times to be attentive to traffic and road conditions, and to provide the steering, braking and other driving inputs necessary to retain control of the vehicle. Drivers are cautioned not to wait for the system's alerts before braking, as that may not afford sufficient time and distance to brake safely.
